Wednesday
Bible Academy
A structured corporate Bible Study
held each Wednesday night. The classes
that make up the academy are designed
to help all who participate to develop
a lifestyle of worship, fellowship,
ministry, discipleship, and evangelism.
Classes are held for adults and for
the youth.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
and self-control. Against such things
there is no law.”
–Galatians 5:22,
23
Curriculum (Adult Classes)
Each class is devoted to one of the
Fruit of the Spirit.
The nine Fruit of the Spirit
Love – Building
Healthy Relationships
Joy – How to Rejoice in any
Situation
Peace – Overcoming Anxiety
and Conflict
Patience –
The Benefits of Waiting
Kindness – Reaching Out to
Others
Goodness – Do Not Be Overcome
by Evil, But Overcome Evil With Good!
Faithfulness – The Foundation
of True Friendship
Gentleness – The Strength
of Being Tender
Self-control – Mastering
Our Passions
We all desire to exhibit these qualities
in our daily lives. In these classes
participants learn what it means to
“live by the spirit”, because the
fruit of the Spirit is the result
of the inner workings of God. It is
also the result of how we respond
to God and His teachings. It comes
from learning as much as we can about
God, and being obedient to His Word,
and completely dependent on Him.
“I am the vine; you are the branches.
If a man remains in me and I in him,
he will bear much fruit; apart from
me you can do nothing."
--John 15:5
Curriculum (Youth Classes)
Students are put in classes according
to their grade level. All classes
are studying the Old Testament.
The entire Bible shares the progressive
revealing of the character and Person
of God. At first, revealed only to
Adam and Eve, God is revealed through
His interaction with early mankind.
He is even more revealed through His
calling of Israel and giving them
His written Law – The Ten Commandments
– through Moses. We can see the revelation
of God through Israel’s acceptance
and rejection of Him; through those
who wrote of their close relationship
with Him, and finally through God’s
commentary of man’s behavior and His
ultimate plan for them through the
Prophets.
The Old Testament is better understood
if we think of it coming in basically
four parts:
• The Books of the Law – (Genesis
– Deuteronomy)
• The Historical Books – (Joshua
– Esther)
• The Books of Poetry - (Job - Song
of Solomon)
• The Prophets - (Isaiah - Malachi)

“God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them."
--Genesis 1:27
