Welcome to the Youth Development Ministry (YDM) of Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Temple. The youth at Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Temple are an integral part of our church family because we realize that the youth truly are our future. We strongly support the development of our youth in all areas – spiritually, academically, socially, financially, and physically.

We strive to present several opportunities for our youth to be involved in building God’s Kingdom by supporting the following ministries:

• Arkbuilders
• Athletics
• Cheerleaders
• Chimes
• G.G.O.C. (praise dance)
• Greeters
• Jr. Armor bearers
• Move the Chains (Tutorial)
• Step Team
• Sunday School
• Little Temples
• Ushers

The Youth Core team consists of the following:

We invite you to join us every first Sunday at 10:00 a.m. for our Youth Church Service. During this service, the youth of Sixth Mount Zion usher in the presence of God through praise and worship, read the scripture and provide the invocation, lead the congregation in songs of praise, and serve as greeters, ushers, and armor bearers. We sincerely believe that the Youth Church Service provides the opportunity for each youth member to take ownership of his or her worship experience.
